    Nathaniel Chalobah and Jovan Malcolm scored early in the game before Dike netted a third for the Baggies in the 27th minute of the match. Dike received a loose ball from a corner inside the penalty box and found the back of the net with a thunderous volley.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    This was Dike's first competitive appearance in nearly nine months, as he had not played since April 2023 due to an ACL tear. He was named in Carlos Corberan's starting lineup and remained on the pitch for 45 minutes before being substituted for Akeel Higgins at half-time.

    WHAT NEXT FOR WEST BROM?

    After registering a comfortable 4-1 win over Aldershot Town, West Brom will now shift their focus to the Championship where they are scheduled to take on Blackburn Rovers on January 13. Dike will now hope to build up some momentum with a view to returning to the USMNT squad ahead of the 2024 Copa America.
